The Department of Botany explores plant sciences through a curriculum that spans plant anatomy, physiology, taxonomy, pathology, genetics, and biotechnology. Students gain both conceptual and practical knowledge essential for careers in agriculture, forestry, research, and environmental science.
Hands-on learning is promoted through herbarium projects, field excursions, greenhouse studies, and microscopic analysis. The department actively engages students in eco-club activities, tree-plantation drives, and sustainability workshops.
Our mission is to instill curiosity and a scientific outlook while promoting conservation and the sustainable use of plant resources.
