Shri Sharda Bhavan Education Society was established in 1952 with an educational vision to dispel darkness of illiteracy from lives of the poor. Honourable Founder President Late Dr. ShankarraojiChavan, Former Home Minister, Government of India, established first school in 1952 & then onwards there was no looking back. The Society has kept its educational graph rising for the decades. It expanded into many schools & colleges. The society always looked forward for upgrading the educational facilities so as to keep itself prompt with the changes in rural & urban areas. The contribution has been recognized through various awards. The fact is quality is not destination; it is a journey . we shall keep walking the path of quality.

Indira Gnadhi (Sr.) College, CIDCO,New Nanded run by Shri Sharda Bhavan Education Society, Nanded is one of the recognized institutions of higher education in the jurisdiction of SRTM University with two and half decades of proud standing.

With thevision “नहिज्ञानेनसदृशंपवित्रमिहविद्यते (There is nothing holy in the world like knowledge- Bhagwatgeeta: 4:38) the college has been enlightening the path of its students coming from lower socio-economic sections. The college, has already completed two rounds of NAAC Accreditation with B+ grade as well ISO, Energy and Green certification. On the other hand, the college has been striving to keep its bond with society through NSS activities and NAMP project.

We are optimistic that our students would come out with flying colures and would contribute in making the society better.
